Compile success but no class files!

Postby Glenn » Thu Sep 23, 2004 3:56 am

Using Eclipse 3.0.0, Plugin version 1.1.3

Filters on, followed instructions, default Java builder off, 1.5 builder enabled.

I get the message: JDK15 builder: Successfully compiled 89 classes in 0.5 seconds
But no sign of my class files. :(

I have got this working on other machines, but there must be something wrong with my setup here. Any ideas?
Only difference I can think of is that this project is in the workspace while the others were linked to existing files -- is that allowed?

Thanks,
Glenn.

Additional: despite the message, compilation is definitely not successful. It gives the same message even after I introduce deliberate syntax errors, not to mention all the missing classes it should complain about.

Any ideas?

Do you use a full JDK or just a JRE for your project's build path ?

Just installed J2SE 1.5.0 final (I was using RC) and the problem has gone away. ie. now compiles with class files!

Thanks,
Glenn.
